Lodge was comfortable but could do with some maintenance. Staff friendly, particularly the receptionist who gave me, my daughter and granddaughters a lift in the snow. Nice few days away
Would like to respond to Jason Morris's review. For clarity the bar was open last night 31/1/19 as the Bar licensee walked in through the snow - alas he was late opening due to the very bad weather conditions. There was a post put out on Facebook as soon as he had arrived safely. Unfortunately other staff we unable to get in due to the horrendous weather conditions. When you were informed that it would be open the snow had not yet arrived so we had no way to predict how bad it was going to get. The staff live in areas worse affected and we apologise but we put our staff's welfare first and hope that he managed to get the the local pub.... From Honicombe Manor
Bar and restaurant not open when staff told us they would be . Recommended not to come in snow as you will have to travel to local pub in dangerous conditions . Facilities not up up to scratch . House is nice and spacious.
Wonderful Sunday lunch. Very popular as it's a large place and we got the last available table. Thanks to all the lovely staff
Lovely location. Easy to get to. The inside pool are was in, would have been better if the Jacuzzi area was working. The outside pool was extremely small. Both pool areas were very clean. We found a steak knife on the play which could easily have been picked up by a child.
